If we would renounced of these little aids or turn the devices off always, we can save up to 10% energy. Only in germany the households produce over 2150 million euro electricity costs every year with this lights of the standby mode.
Here are some tips to avoid unnecessary costs through the standby mode:
• Use a power strip to disconnect the devices from the power supply system.
• When you don’t have a power strip, press the power switch on the back of the device.
• Computers, monitors und printers have an energy-saving mode. Use this when you make a longer break!

I think it's good because so many people use the standby mode but the most of them don't know how much energy it costs. It's not only for the environmental it's also to save your money with lower costs of your energy when you switch off your devices and don't always use the standby mode.
AntwortenLöschenHi Sebi1337,
AntwortenLöschenI agree with your statement.
Using the standby-mode is unnecessary for the most people, it needs only 30 seconds more to start up the most gadgets if they are really in the "off" mode. so guys power off your gadgets and support the enviroment!!!
My opinion is that everybody can accept this short time and additionally save money.
Sincerely yours Jan R.
